Talks that have focused on an entrepreneur's experiences (as opposed to a sales pitch or a "How To") have resonated very well with the audiences. Speakers have obviously referenced their businesses and expertise, but in the context of sharing a lesson or challenge that they overcame in their journey. |
Many speakers share both ups and downs in their journeys - audience members tend to appreciate the honest perspectives. Speakers can be from any industry, as the important thing is the story.
Talks are typically between 10-15 minutes, and most speakers prefer to use visuals (e.g., PowerPoint) to help the audience follow along.
